Tasting notes :
Colour : brilliant golden.
Nose : Flattering and delicate, this Cognac takes us to the heart of the vineyards during the blossoming season. The journey continues with a well-balanced bouquet of orange and candied fruits, with hints of spices and ginger. Scents of oak, vanilla and leather appear on the finish.
On the palate : this Cognac is powerful on the palate, with elegant woody notes and lingering, roasted coffee notes.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC.
Terroir : The soil of Grande Champagne is whitish under a crumbly limestone subsoil; the climate is less influenced by the ocean due to its distance from the sea, but still has a strong continental character : the eaux-de-vie from this region are distinguished by their very fine, very long bouquet. Eaux-de-vie made exclusively in this region can claim the Grande Champagne or Grande Fine Champagne appellation.
Grape variety : 100 % Ugni blanc.
Ageing : In French Limousin-type oak barrels, coarse grain and medium grain.
