Single malt French Whisky Coperies Merlet

In 2021, the Merlet Family Company starts a new adventure with the creation of its own whisky brand: Coperies.
The French Single Malt Coperies was born from a centuries-old know how of the Distillerie Merlet & Fils.

COPERIES is a very old word for “harvest” in the local dialect. Hence its identity is purely French, and even more specifically “Charentais”. The barley is grown, malted and brewed in France, then distilled and aged at Distillerie Merlet & Fils.

First the distillation is doubly run in copper pot stills, giving a round and elegant malt distillate. Then, the aging is made in French oak barrels, balancing new and old casks, for subtle spicy notes and silky tannins.

100 % French, barley cultivated, malted, brewed and distilled in France.

100 % distilled in our stills, in Charente-Maritime.

AGEING : A blend 3-4 years old for the first batch.

TASTING NOTES : Subtle spicy notes and silky tannins. The result is a floral and fruity whisky of an unequalled finesse.
