2007 Petite Champagne Single Cask limited edition Comandon Cognac

Tasting notes :

Nose : fragrances of rich malted beer melting into green apple, with peach and ginger spices.

Palate : sweet candied stone fruit, peach, apricot, very unctuous and syrupy, but medium-bodied in texture, with hints of light toasted bread.

Finish : long, dry and tannic wood spices with wax like textures.

The term of ‘single cask’ or ‘single barrel’ is new for the Cognac but much more developed in other brown spirits such as Whisky or Bourbon.

Comandon pioneered this new concept starting in 2010. It's a different mind-set and a little rebellious as it goes against the general rule of blending multiple Cognac in order to mass produce the same Cognac year after year.
