DESCRIPTION

The term of ‘single cask’ or ‘single barrel’ is new for the cognac but much more developed in other brown spirits such as whisky or bourbon. Comandon pioneered this new concept starting in 2010. It is a different mind-set and a little rebellious as it goes against the general rule of blending multiple cognacs in order to mass produce the same cognac year after year.

We offer different Casks, different Years, different Terroirs, etc.

This single cask 2007 from the Petite Champagne region was selected for its surprising characteristics of stone fruits and complex but soft oak flavors.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE
Fragrance of a rich malted beer melting into green apples, with peach and ginger spices.

PALATE
Sweet candied stone fruits, like peach and apricot, very unctuous and syrupy, but medium-bodied in texture, with hints of light toasted breads.

FINISH
Long, dry and tannic wood spices with wax like textures.

Profile: bright stone fruits & light oak notes
